Small or New Business Owners
Entrepreneurs
Professionals in Private Practice

Running one's own business or professional practice can be overwhelming.  Current statistics show that approximately 80% of all new business ventures fail in the first 5 years.  Working with a coach, you will develop more effective tools for working on your business rather than just working in it.  A coach is an objective sounding board for your ideas and can support your growth in areas such as profitability, strategizing for taking your business to the next level, as well as addressing critical areas where most small businesses fail.  Most importantly as your coach, I will support your growth--not only as a business owner, but personally as well.  Maintaining a balanced life, taking care of what's truly important to you, and not losing sight of your passion for the work you do are some of the areas in which coaching can provide support.

"I think that maybe inside any business, there is someone slowly going crazy."
--Joseph Heller, Something Happened

"And what we have also discovered is that the people who own small businesses in this country work far more than they should for the return they're getting."
--Michael Gerber, The E-Myth Revisited

People in Transition
 (Divorce, Midlife, Career, Retirement, Relationship)

Life is about change and knowing when to let go and move on to the next stage of our journey.  There is often pain and loss associated with all transitions but there is also the promise of  new opportunities and life on the other side of the door that has closed or is closing.  It is easy to get stuck in this place of confusion and chaos.  As your coach, I will support you in asking and finding the answers to the critical questions you are facing.  As your coach, I will support your process of reaching clarity so you can create and attract the future you desire.

"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
--Anais Nin

Retirement Life Planning

Today's retirement is no longer considered the "beginning of the end."  Because people are living longer, healthier lives and retiring earlier, most Americans will spend up to 1/3 of their lives in retirement!  Today's retirement can be a time of "new beginnings and renewal"-- a time of personal growth, giving back to one's community, freedom to travel and explore leisure activities, and creating a life of balance, passion and authenticity.  It is just as important to plan for your retirement life as it is for your retirement finances so you can have a life you love.

"Old age is like everything else.  To make a success of it, you've got to start young."
--Fred Astaire

"For the first time in history, older people have a plethora of choices.  But unless you have a plan, you're not likely to get what you want."
--Ruth Cohen, geriatric specialist

Passion and Purpose

There is a place deep within us that senses or knows there is more to our life than living day to day and maintaining a certain life-style.  Many yearn to find the purpose of their life--others know what it is but struggle to find ways to integrate it into their daily life.  Together we will address these questions head on and begin the process of creating the life you are meant to live.

"Everything in life responds to the song of the heart."
--Ernest Holmes

"Sometimes the jump is so frightening between

where I am

and where I want to be because of all I may become

I will close my eyes and leap."

--m.a. hershey

Creating and Preserving a Legacy

We are the pivotal point between the legacies handed down from our ancestors and what we will transmit and leave behind for our descendants.  The history of the past 100 years has created such rapid change that much of this conscious awareness of legacy has been lost.  Through legacy work we will explore the gifts and blessings, financial as well as spiritual, that you choose to pass on to the future and create vessels for that transmission.  This could include work such as writing an ethical will, writing a life history letter, participating in volunteer service work that you are passionate about, and consciously choosing the values, heritage and traditions you wish to create in your personal family.

"In every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations."
--From the Great Law of the American Indian Iroquois Confederacy

Personal Health & Well-being

New Year's Resolutions and goals for better self care often come up year after year.  As your coach, we will address the issues and problems that are blocking you and create strategies and a structure of support to move you toward fulfilling your personal goals.

Modern day life is so speeded up that it has become virtually impossible to keep up.  We want to do it all, be it all, have it all--often to the detriment of our physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.  Identifying what's truly important and simplifying our lives to create the time and space to attract a more balanced life is another goal of coaching.  This includes looking at all areas of life including our environments, relationships, personal care, and finances to bring us back into integrity.

In addition, I also welcome individuals dealing with chronic illness (either your own or that of a loved one) who want to live their lives to the fullest.  This usually involves a commitment to extreme self-care and doing what brings us joy.

"There's a lot we can do in the fast lane - we can grow and we can expand.  But we cannot deepen, and we cannot integrate our experiences, unless we slow down."
-Angeles Arrien, Signs of Life

Young People and College Students

I love working with young people who are searching for direction, a meaningful life and career, and who want to work on strengthening their personal foundation.  This may include work on needs and values clarification, choosing healthy personal standards and boundaries, self care issues, creating healthy relationships and community, simplifying, and understanding financial responsibilities.

I offer several scholarships for young people.  Please contact me for more information.

"At this very moment, there are people only you can reach... And differences only you can make."
-Mike Dooley

"You suppose you are the trouble
But you are the cure
You suppose that you are the lock on the door
But you are the key that opens it
It's too bad that you want to be someone else
You don't see your own face, your own beauty
Yet, no face is more beautiful than yours."
-Rumi, 1207-1273
